    Description

This is a DIY field strength meter that uses the very sensitive Super Beta Transistor (MPSA18) and a Simpson 0-1 mA meter.
The 2.5 inch meter is mounted in a tinfoil covered cardboard box. (Looks funny but the tinfoil is for shielding).
It has a banana plug for the sensing antenna connection.
The input is a tuned LC  circuit that covers about  7 to 25 MHz.
The detection circuit uses a 1N914 that feeds the Super Beta transistor (MPSA18).
It runs on a 9V battery.
