This meter has the correct voltage divider inside to accurately display the REAL voltage applied to the terminals.  So, if you apply 150 Volts DC to the terminals, the meter reads full scale.  If you apply 50 volts, the meter reads 50 volts.  This makes hookup very easy for many builders.
